Don't forget to put your items in the mid-season sale

Our mid-season sale kicks off on Monday 7th October 2013, so we wanted to put together a short blog on the common questions we receive about the ASOS Marketplace sale. As you all know, our mid-season sales are a great way to move along any loitering stock, and get your listings renewed and ready for the big pre Christmas sales push.
Below, are some of our sale FAQ’s, but if you have any further queries, you can holler at us on G+ and Twitter.

When does the sale start?
The sale kicks off with up to 50% off on Monday 7th October with further markdowns of up to 70% taking place on Tuesday 15th October.

How do I put an item into the sale?
Head into ‘Manage Items’ and in each of your listings you will see a drop down titled ‘add to sale (choose discount)’. Then simply choose to reduce your item by 25%, 40%, 50% or 70%.

Why can’t I put my items into the sale?
If you are unable to put an item into the sale, this will be because that item has not been on the site for longer than 28 days. Only items that have been live on the site longer than 28 days can be marked down into the sale. If you have an item that reaches 28 days on the site whilst the sale is still on, you can add that item into the sale then.

Can customers use a promo code in conjunction with a sale discount?
Nope, you can’t use a promo code on top of a sale discount. If a promo code offers a larger discount on the item, then this will be applied at checkout. I.e. a 30% promo code would trump a 25% sale discount, but you can’t use them together to get 55% off.

We will let you know when we are entering into the last week of the sale so you can make further discounts and have a look at how your sale items have performed.
