We Love to Boogie’ are specialist vintage resellers from Glasgow, Scotland. Normally only available online, they’ve opened up a special pop-up shop for the festive season, so naturally we went for a nosy about. Want to shop online? Head over to the ‘We Love to Boogie’ ASOS Marketplace boutique.

HIYA! Can you tell us a little bit about ‘We Love to Boogie’ ?

Hello! I’m Greg Milne and my business partner is Natalia Codona, we are based online, but launched this pop-up shop with the hope of doing a few more in the future, throughout the country. We are a vintage company but we also do a range of customised pieces and small collections of our own designs - as well as a range of t-shirts and sweats that we have also designed.

How long have you been in the bizznass?

We Love to Boogie has been going for a few years now, but we’ve both worked in high end retail since we were 16 (we are both 24 now). We’ve also written for some mags, and styled shows for various boutiques like ‘Cricket’.

What’s your favourite piece from your current collection?

My personal favourite piece from our collection is the "Liberty" shirt. It is a piece from our own collection, a brilliantly fitted white shirt (no man should be without one) given an edge by the added detailing with some beautiful printed fabric from Liberty of London. Natalia loves her customised studded pieces, in particular the white leather studded shorts, they look amazing on!

What’s your favourite vintage piece?
My favourite vintage piece is always a punk jacket....they are just so cool!

How’s Glasgow then?

Glasgow's biggest asset is probably the fact it's wild! We have a large group of friends and we all tend to party a little bit. There are so many creative’s in Glasgow, and all our friends run nights, act, play in bands or are have their own businesses. This has worked out pretty well for us when we want to create a bit of a buzz around the shop & we’ve held some secret gigs by 'Glasvegas' and 'Kassidy'.  A few "friends and customer evenings" got a bit rowdy too, but hey, it’s all in the name... we do love to boogie!

Any favourite local establishments?
Our favourite local establishment has got to be the world renowned "Subclub’. It's an intimate venue but it still attracts all the big names. Local nights like "Optimo" and "Thunder Disco" are unreal; these guys are from Glasgow and get flown around the world to play some great venues. We try and go along when we can- Glasgow on tour!

Where is the pop-up shop?
The address for the pop-up is 16 South Frederick Street, Glasgow; we are there until New Years Eve - 10.30am-6.30pm.
