We’re all going on a summer holiday!

We're all going on a summer holiday,
no more working for a week or two.
We asked our boutiques what they were packing,
and here’s what they put together for youuuuuuuu-uuu,
put together for youuuuuuuu.

Enjoyable blog based lyric swap! Oh the LOL’s we have here at Marketplace – it NEVER ENDS. Our boutiques put together these super cute photos to illustrate what they take away with them on holibobs – and it’s a nosy persons dream. Each photo includes a key piece of bounty from their boutique, so be sure to stop by for some last-minute summer essentials.

So….Pack it up, pack it in, let us begin:

The Cherry Closet

1.Retro sunglasses.

1.Retro sunglasses.
2.Boater hat - perfect for a day or night look.
3.A good book!
4.Vintage silk scarf - multiple uses! A sun cover up, headscarf, shawl for a breezy night or good to have for the journey. 5.Great swimwear! I love vintage swimwear shapes.

Rye Stark

1. Eastpak Holdall - I'm a total sucker for camo and this bag comes with me everywhere.

1. Eastpak Holdall - I'm a total sucker for camo and this bag comes with me everywhere.
2. Maje Scarf - Summer scarves are totally underrated. Mine double as wraps on the plane, sarongs on the beach and are ever present wherever I am!
3. "Arturo's Island" by Else Morante - a beautiful book, now out of print. My sister tracked this book down from the States for me and I love it.
4. Havaiana Flip Flops - might be boring but they're still the best and go with everything.
5. Lucas Paw Paw cream - ointment, lip balm, highlighter....why wouldn't you take it away with you?
6. Rye Stark Shorts - Linen/Cotton mix shorts that are lightweight enough for the beach but smart enough for the evening. Just came back from Corsica and wore mine all the time (and got lots of compliments!).

Bird On A Wire

1. A woven beach basket is my luggage of choice when heading on a beach hol. 2. I never leave without my Diana + Lomography camera 3. I adore this black 70s floppy sun hat, it’s the chicest beach hair cover-up. 4. I always tie a large scarf around my floppy hat and this cream and paisley chiffon number works just as well as a sarong or wrap. 5. I seem to have amassed a little collection of wooden and woven fans over the years. They come in very handy whilst lying in the sun and needing a little cooling breeze. 6. Next up is a Hot-to-trot bikini. I love bright punch colours and almost always go for a block colour two piece. This gorgeous crochet 60's bikini is bang on trend for SS11 and is now available on Bird On A Wire Vintage at ASOS Marketplace.

Jones + Jones

1. It was very hard to choose just one of our dresses for our summer holidays (we'd normally fill our case up with them!) however after a lot of thought our number one choice would be the Lauren Dress. The gorgeous Liberty Pansy print is not only ultra-feminine but also makes this dress limited edition meaning that it's unlikely anyone will be able to steal our holiday style. 2. A small oval box containing all of our highest priority accessories. From vintage sunglasses, to the skinny tan belt (it goes with everything) to bangles, rings, diamonds and pearls! 3. A selection of our favourite magazines so we can catch up on all the latest fashion updates, gossip and decide what to spend our money on next, all from the supreme comfort of our sun lounger. 4. A Polaroid camera ready to capture all of the moments we'd love to remember (and some we'd prefer to forget). 5. Trusty nude Carvela courts. They go with everything, emphasize our tan and make our legs look like they go on forever, what more do you need?

1.My Mom’s vintage straw clutch. This ensemble is for a weekend beach break, no need for a huge bag!
2.Arrondissement AQ1 ‘heaven shirt’ (available in our boutique). Made of lightweight cotton and in white, this shirt is perfect for throwing over your bikini at the poolside.
3. H&M reversible pink and purple bikini, there are 2 bikinis in one, so even less to pack.
4. Emporio Armani Sunglasses – these ‘wow’ factor sunglasses go with me everywhere, and they’re big enough to hide beneath if you’ve had a few too many pina coladas at the poolside bar the night before…
5. As well as all the holiday snaps to show your friends, a digital camera is a must for every self-respecting fashion-blogger to post a steady stream of holiday outfits.

We Love Vintage

1. I think a floral dress epitomises the coming of summer, and holidays. I love this Ruffle backless dress...they made them best in the 80's! 2. I don't go anywhere without my vintage Egyptian necklace. 3. I have the craziest, oversized mop of curly hair...so when the temp goes above above 20 degrees it goes into volume overload! Moroccan oil is literally my saviour! I put it on wet or dry hair, I don't discriminate.... 4. My Maliparmi hat from Italy doesn't leave my head from the taxi out, to the return airport. When I'm having a 'can't be bothered to wash my hair, I'll only get it wet in the pool tomorrow' day, the straw hat comes out. 5. I love old books and am obsessed with crime and thriller, so this year I will mostly be reading Agatha Christie in original hard back. As much as an ebook is convenient, there's no replacing that amazing smell of old paper....I found this one rifling through my gran's bookcase.
