Monochrome Skatewear, PAUSE Magazine
The skatewear trend made its mark earlier this year on the street style scene and is continuing to shape the season. Our friends over at menswear mag, PAUSE, have pulled together their skate staples from Marketplace sellers.
From high street to high end the trend has made the transition from Cali-cool to Yeezy approved. Here at PAUSE, we have wrapped up the accessories to help make your skater look cold-weather ready.
Snapbacks and beanies are go-to accessories for laidback dressing. From tossing on a flat panel backwards to beating the chill in a beanie, skatewear is the depiction of steeze and accessories mean big business with this trend. If you want to up the ante from the usual headwear suspects (we are looking at you tie-dye prints) opt for pieces that are easy on the eye with minimalist details and logos.
Give your boots a break and finish off your look with a pair of trainers (AKA the street style heavy weights). Classic Nikes are the way to go this season and once this trend has run its course they will be gym-ready. Stick to black and white tones here – they’re timeless and easy to pair up with any outfit.
