Make it Marketplace: DIY Pom Pom Christmas Decorations

We stopped by to visit Nhuc from China Doll Boutique, who taught us how to dress up our Christmas tree with these quick and inexpensive (yet oh so on trend) pom pom baubles.

What you'll need:

Scissors
Wool
Cardboard cut into 2x doughnut shape

Step 1:

Put both circles of cardboard together before taking a length of wool (the longer it is, the fuller your pom pom will be) and wrapping it around. Several layers make for a healthy looking pom pom!

Step 2:

Holding the circle firmly in the middle, take your scissors and cut through the wool in between the the two pieces of cardboard.

Step 3:

Take a shorter length of wool (long enough to use to hang up your pom pom) and pass it between the two pieces of cardboard. Tie it tightly to secure the pom pom.

Step 4:

Pull off the cardboard and give your pom pom a mini massage to give it some shape - it also might require a bit of a hair cut, so snip off any irregularly sized pieces of wool.

And there you have it - your new fashionable Christmas decoration. Get your hands on a few complimentary colours and start snipping before hanging them on your tree.
